Google Android One Project: Is it the Future
Google, at its Google I/O 2014, has launched a new initiated design to make android smartphones more affordable to manufacture and release in the developing markets all over the world.
With the current stats of android users touching a 1 Billion mark, it was the time for Google to reach out to the developing markets with something affordable and reliable as is the case with these markets affordability is a big problem.
Even with the bulk of inexpensive Android phone from the likes of Nokia, Huawei and Samsung the quality is not their or the phone lacks the bare minimum standard to run the Android OS.
So Google intends to bring the affordability, reliability and convenience at one place with its idea of Android One as it hopes to launch the devices in under $100 and these devices will get updates directly from Google as is the case with Nexus devices.
Sundar Pichai shared that besides Micromax, Spice and Karbonn are also taking part in Android One manufacturing.
