Facebook’s New & Secret Photo Sharing App for iPhone has been Exposed

Folks at TechCrunch have obtained around 50 MB of photos and documents, exposing a new and a secret app from Facebook. This secret app is a photo sharing app which will either be integrated in the Facebook app for iPhone or will work as a stand-alone app for iOS devices. This app is similar to Instagram.

The app looks amazing according to TechCrunch, and they have told that internally the app is called as ‘HoverTown’ or ‘WithPeople’.

Either way, based on the images in front of us, the best way to think about it appears to be Path meets Instagram meets Color meets (Path’s new side project) With — with a few cool twists. And obviously, it’s built entirely on top of Facebook’s massive social graph.

If this app is integrated in the Facebook app for iPhone, then it is going to be a great downfall for the third party apps such as Instagram, etc. But we will have to wait and see if that really happens or not, or the story is just a rumor or not.

Around Six billion photos are uploaded each month, and currently Facebook has over 100 billion photos. So what do you think, will this app become a Hit ?
