Apple Releases iOS 4.0.2 and 3.2.2
Apple has recently released updated version of its operating systems, iOS 4.0.2 for iPhone & iPod and iOS 3.2.2 for iPad. The main reason behind this update was to fix the security holes in iOS after jailbreaking because the hackers could easily use these security holes to spread malwares on jailbroken devices. JailbreakMe attacks a flaw in the iOS PDF viewer which can gain access to the device. iOS 4.0.2 is compatible with iPhone 3G, 3GS, 4 and iPod Touch 2G, 3G.
According to Apple this new firmware:
Fixes security vulnerability associated with viewing malicious PDF files.
In order to update to the latest iOS 4.0.2 for iPhone and iOS 3.2.2 for iPad, follow the steps below:
- Connect your device with PC via data cable.
- Run iTunes.
- You will be prompted that the newer version is available for download as shown below.
- Click on ‘Download and Install‘ to get the latest firmware.
- Once the software has been downloaded it will be installed on your device.
