Windows 8: Leaked features for Microsoft next OS

You might be the one of them who has not got his hands on Windows 7, but Microsoft is planning for its upcoming OS in 2012. Though Windows 7 is the best-selling in the market, Microsoft is planning for Windows 8 which will be universal for both computers and communicators.

Leaked Features

According to the leaked document Microsoft windows 8 will have the following features:

  • Faster start up time, a better GUI, a support to USB 3.0 and Bluetooth 3.0, and has Kinect like features.

  • New feature like”My PC Knows Me”will provide the functionality that PC will use the connected web-cam to recognize the user and act according to the user’s movement in the room.

  • Windows 8 will have Wireless connectivity for faster communication and stereoscopic 3D support for games and movies.
  • According to leaked document windows 8 will have new networking features:

Evaluating and collating technical and business requirements for developing new networking features in Windows 8.

Designing features, functional specification and prototype for Windows 8.

  • Windows 8 will provide a unified platform for all mobile devices and computers.
  • Microsoft will hope to provide Windows 8 and server in parallel.

  • Microsoft hope Windows 8 will come in two versions i.e.  64bit AND 128 bit.
  • Microsoft is also considering connecting windows account to the cloud.

    But most probably Win 8 will be be a Business only OS.

    Win 8 will also have many other features apart from business oriented features such as faster startup,3D support for games and movies which will surely benefit home users as well.

    I don’t see the point to a 128bit version, there’s barely any software or game releases that utilize 64 bit as is

    no it will be 32 and 64 as like windows 7 according to windows 8 microsoft post

    Might be a possibility that they only release the 64 Bit version. but who knows that if 128 Bit games might be coming in future.

    i read in a post from microsoft that windows 8 will also run 32 bit version ill see if i can find the post and post a link

    We posted these leaked features back in July 2010, but with the passage of time things get more clear, so some of the features might be fake as it they were leaked ones :)
