Nokia launching Tablet Computer this year

On April 12 2010 HELSINKI announced that the world’s top cellphone maker, Nokia, is preparing its own tablet computer.

It is scheduled that it will be available in the market by the end of this year, according to technology expert said on April 6. Different handset makers and PC dealer including Samsung Electronics Co Ltd and Hewlett-Packard Co. are thinking to follow Apple Inc’s move into the new category of devices, between traditional PCs and smart phones.Last week calculation showed, Apple sold  +300,000 iPads on the tablet computer’s first day in stores.Nokia surprised the steady success of iPhone, and it took almost two years for the Finnish firm to get its first phone model with a large touch screen.CCS Insight analyst Geoff Blabe rsaid;

“The market will play host to a flood of ‘me too’ tablets in 2010, but it’s an immature product category with an unproven use case,”
